This kind of attitude will not help to acheive your goal. If US congress does not pass immigration that favors you may abuse everyone. Before that can you name any single country has such a better immiration policy than USA. You may name Canada and Australia. Canada many immigrants are struggling to survive for years so that is not attractive destination. Everyone knows what happens in Australia. A few violence will be enough to reduce immigration.

The problem lies with entire GC process being Employer-centric. Employee is just a pawn in the game. Employers can do whatever they want. The market test for LCA conducted by DOL itself is so ridiculous. How would a test conducted in 2002 be any relevant for a Greencard application that would be approved six or eight years from that date?

I (EB3-India, PD Nov 2002) got approved last year. We were only able to file my wife;s I-484 days before my approval. We are still waiting for her GC as my PD is no longer current. Is there any way she can get her GC quickly?

1) Can a husband (on H1) own a business and sponsor (H1 and greencard) his wife to work for the same business?
2) Can an Indian company start LLC or any other kind of firm and own a business and sponsor someone- more specifically my dad (a major stake holder in Indian company) and this indian company starts some kind of LLC or inc (whichever is feasible) and sponsor my wife for H1 and greencard?

Now these missionaries are setting up miracle boxes ,so far in rural areas, where poor people that drop their wishes in the box see miracles happening.Only hitch is entire family has to convert to Christianity.Yeah abuse of poverty.But there is discrimination (hoping that when you speak of poor you speak of poor of all religions)even in miracles.Some how these missionaries don't dare to mess with Muslim poor.So Muslim poor are left alone. Neither your MMS wrapped State does anything to alleviate their poverty nor these missionaries shower their miracles on them.

I received yesterday EAD renewal. Even though my priority date is not current, and the EAD was approved on 7/16, the EAD is valid for one year only. I talked to lawyer and she said giving 2 year EAD is at the USCIS' discretion. I am not sure what to read from this. Whether EB2 India would be current within a year or USCIS wants to make more money if renewals are charged. I am not sure whether I would be charged for renewal next year though.

Why don't you tell us how much you bought your labor for? Show us a proof that you have not bought it.
I think I made a mistake of answering your post and apologize for that to all members. I also urge people not to answer anyone with substitute labor on this forum.
such people cut in line in front of us and don't even bother paying money to IV. Why should we give them free advice. If they can spend money buying labor for 20K they can spend hundred dollars and consult a lawyer and ask their question. It is with such mentaility they are brought up with in their country- Currption and getting things done with money. But never paying anyone for a just cause. In my country people contribute only when they fear god in temples, for medical treatment or to astrologers!!
I also urge moderators to close such threads on this forum whenever someone is diagnosed with a substitute labor cancer. Yes it is a cancer that is worsening retrogression further.
At least on this forum we can have the resolve to fight such people who are hurting most of us.
Now if someone argues with me on this post, then it will mean that either that person has himself bought a substitute labor or is looking for one. So don't even bother because a lot of members after reading this post will come hard on people who are ok with substitute labor on this forum.

The only difference is that i stand by my comment and i do not abuse you guys back because i reply back to every argument of yours (No matter how stupid/illogical/abusive) with valid arguments. Now you guys do not know how to deal with that and the only way to respind is to answer back with strong arm tactics.
But guys the answer is really simple. Answer back with logical arguments and if you do not have any more logical arguments please rethink about the arguments (Do brainstorming and come up with one argument). Do not spend your valuable time working out HOW TO DISCREDIT PLAINSPEAK AND GET HIM (I am a man for you sake) OUT OF THE FORUM. Instead think about a logical argument to my post and convince me. In the absence (to our knowledge) of USCIS URL, it is not possoble to say that dates can not retrogress in the middle of a month. For example, USCIS has no rule of time period between switching jobs. This means they can do whatever they feel like.
I am saying that 2007 GCs can get exhausted at any time independent of I-485s received/approved.

If we do file a lawsuit against the discriminatory country-quota laws in EB immigration, in worst case scenario, even if we loose it might help highlight the issue and send a message to Washington that we are serious and we mean business. And the judgement might help us at-least get the recapture visas back if the court is made aware of our plight.
IV has spent so much money on Patton Boggs etc. . Maybe its time we think about this option as well. Maybe this method might work as clearly other approaches have failed and we haven't gotten anything. And before the IV loyalists jump on me and ask me to contribute first, yes if there is a lawsuit by IV, I will happily contribute my half-month's salary to the cause.

I am one of the July 2nd filer, EB2 India, PD is April 2005 filed 485 at NSC but got a receipt# starting with WAC. First I-485 receipt notice was send me with RD 07/02/2007. I again got the second I-485 transfer notice in September with RD 09/26/2007 saying my case has been transferred back to NSC office as they have jurisdiction over it.
Called IO today says as my application receipt# starts with WAC it will processed by the CSC processing dates that is stuck at May 2006 rather than the NSC processing dates that is at 10th August 2007 making my 485 eligible for processing.
Is this information from IO valid, what can be done to come out of this problems. Looks like there has been some TSC approvals for WAC receipts but no news on NSC.

I understand the mood among fellow Indians , due to substantial dates movement for ROW but it dint move enough for India. Lets take the high road and stop bickering among ourselves and lets get back to the Action Item which needs to be done.

You dont need any law-firm to handle your canadian PR application .. it is straight-forward enough that any educated applicant can do it himself.
I am no physician myself, but from what I hear foreign physicians in Canada have to go through the whole battery of licensing exams all over again. The going will be tough at least initially till you get all the relevant licenses. But I just do not know of that many physicians who immigrated to Canada.
Our frustration with the US legal immigration and retrogression seems endless. My wife and I are considering immigration prospects to Canada. Can somebody please suggest good responsive lawfirms that could handle a Canadian PR application? We would also appreciate some insight on Canadian immigration prospects for physicians. Thanks

I got my canadian PR early this year and have another 3 months to land. I think other companies will follow MSFT and there will be a lot of consulting companies to support them as well. Some more avenues for Desi companies to exploit employees but I guess since we don't need to depend on employers to get our PR, they may not have their way the way they do here in the US.
