I don't think that search is giving the accurate info. I know at least 10 Amway guys by name in my neighbor hood (you can guess how many... many... times I've been tortured) and none of their names is appearing. May be it is giving the names of those silver or what ever their hierarchy is.

as far as I don't agree about the system where people who come in after us get their GC through labor substitution, and the system is being abused. I wish they would count years of stay in America, rather than anything else:)

Clear up your mind for a little while and consider this:
The whole working world lives by on one simple rule ..... GETTING PEOPLE OFF YOUR BACK.
The bigger PITA (pain-in-the-ass) you are... the higher is the priority you get.
As a community we will need to become a PR nightmare for govt. officals... simply being an inconvenience is not going to cut it... we will have to become a "a cactus that is stuck in the colon".
USCIS says EBs are retrogressed because there are XXXXX people in the queue. Why is the queue so long? Because they wasted numbers in the past and kept the queue long. This is pure operational inefficiency that is resulting in monetary, emotional and mental loss to about a million people.
This is a valid ground for a class action lawsuit.
By filing this suit, we will become the "cactii in the colon" that they will have to address. And you know what the easy out of court settlement will be..... RECAPTURE!
We will keep lobbying and crying as we usually do.. But this thing has a far better shot than anything else.
Class actions are not performed easily. First,one needs to show that an agency acted illegally and that action caused many people harm. The fact that USCIS did not use all the visa numbers is not automatically illegal. The law says that the MAXIMUM number of visas, for example, in the EB is 140,000 per fiscal year. It does not say what's the minimum. I am not an attorney, but if that were an easy case, many times would someone else have tried it. Good idea, but as far as I know, difficult to fight from a legal point of view. I'll ask my attorney about this and will keep you posted.

I think every body who wants to have a class action law suit should commit for $500 towards the expense. Only when we have commitment for $500 with person name and contact info, then we should move forward with the idea of Class action law suit. We need 500 people to commit for this otherwise there is no point in moving forward in this direction.
There might be some people who will be willing to pay money but not listed as participant, and visa-versa and we should have at least 500 people who are willing to pay.

Can I continue working for Company B until GC is received? or should I join company C before that?
Whats your EB3 PD. You can join company C anytime assuming that it has been more than six months since you filed your I-485. Company C can start the EB2 process should you choose to. However bear in mind that this process will also take some time.

I need to hear more stories like this to realize I won't be alone when time comes for me to pack up.
Me and my wife really like to live and work in other parts of world and we have even asked my company to send us out of USA. The only reason for me at this point to pursue GC is for my wife be able to work part-time.
Otherwise, I am very content being on H1.

hopefulgc - please dedicate some time and update your first post with more information on lawsuit, you may want to quote lazycis 's posts and other information.
A lot of people may not be very knowledgable and may backoff when they see the word "lawsuit".

I cannot think of any one good leader left in india. not one who can rise above self-interest and narrow mentality. Can you imagine any one of the so called leaders that was mentioned in this list leading the nation, and not be a laughing stock? remember deva gowda at davos...made a mockery of India there. Mayawati/modi, etc. what kind of leadership qualities (international affairs/finance/etc) do they have? the only kind of experience they have is gundaism, and creating conflicts with caste, culture and religion.
I wish most of the current class of leaders were erased, and a new class of leaders were brought in. Sadly that'll never happen with the kind of democratic setup we have. in the name of representation, we are debarring intellects, and people with broad vision from joining politics.

It is not good to put fake identity in any forums. The guy (MARPHAD) pointed out have a good civic sense. Here admins are not paid. They have jobs, and not always watching people. This site is for every one. So the members have an obligation to find out the fake, anti immigrants. He may not be anti immigrant, but he have fake identity. One thing, assume if it works out and 50% of the people are able to buy houses and get the GC, they are out of the queue right, so automatically the back logs are gone and the remaining people not able to buy the house will get their GCs soon.
This is not fair and good idea. what about people waiting in line for years and invested their money elsewhere because of this green card delays or those who do not have enough money and job in this market situation. All of the sudden you are brining this idea. This is not fair. This is kind of buying green card. There is a investment based green card category available for that. I request you to go through that channel if you are rich. Not all employment based green card seekers are rich. Please keep that in mind.

Is this Memorandom final?

1. If status is H1B, then join direct client of the employer or switch employer having projects with direct clients.
2. If maintaing H1B status and also have EAD, then switch to EAD ASAP because this Memorandom is for H1B (renewal/extension or Change).
